Our waiting staff are always happy to assist with any questions regarding allergies or intolerances. All sauces, jus and gravy’s are gluten free. All our menus are fresh, seasonal and as local as possible. Please be aware due to current instability in our ingredients costs that prices may vary from those below.

Herve Stouvenel – Head Chef

Herve’s inimitable style, passion and innovation brings guests back time and time again and was key component of us winning Great British Pub Of The Year 2021 and firmly places The Bell on the culinary map.

He advocates using only the finest quality local ingredients and having established new roots in Norfolk many years ago, he has formed strong relationships with local farms and suppliers. This, along with his wealth of experience, abundance of knowledge and unique skillset ensures that he produces deliciously flavoursome food, which is both honest and authentic. 

Michelin trained, Hervé blends modern and classic ideas; tweaking English favourites with French techniques that express global influences from his experience cooking in Europe and the Caribbean. His nose-to-tail style means that everything is deliciously utilised with no leftover waste (something the Head Chef firmly embraces).  

The cultivation of future talent is vitally important to Herve, to ensure that his team deliver consistently, and our discerning guests always share a special experience. His daily changing menu offers fresh, locally sourced, and seasonal food that his talented team of chefs conjure up with artistic precision.

With a plethora of food and drink awards since opening in 2017, The Bell has established itself in the heart of Norfolk and beyond as a pub definitely worth a visit.

Food Service Times

Monday & Tuesday

Ploughman’s 12noon – 6pm

(Staying guests only) A set menu will be available at 6.30pm only (3 courses from £25- with four choices for starters and mains)

Wednesday – Saturday

Lunch 12noon – 2pm.

Dinner 6pm – 8.45pm


Lunch 12noon – 4pm.

Supper 4pm – 6pm
